The current international seismic provisions require the prequalification cyclic testing of the BRB system to ensure the BRB meets the strength and inelastic deformation capacity requirements specified by the building codes, and also for the calculation of the adjusted brace strengths to design the adjacent elements.

When testing required, we make extra units and we test them to destruction. Selective testing is carried out as required by the building engineer and a comprehensive test report is provided. As with all BRB projects, it will be up to the engineer of record to select the BRBs to be tested.

We have numerous full-scale test results that have been performed historically, and we are prepared to present the results of past projects to the engineers for evaluation.
